Every Chromebooks released in 2017 and beyond will support Android apps

Google added support for Google Play Store and Android apps to select Chromebooks in 2016. The initial list of supported Chromebooks was very small, but it's been expanding month after month.

Now Google has revealed that more Chromebooks will support Play Store and Android apps in the future. The search giant in the updated Chrome OS support page states "All Chromebooks launching in 2017 and after [...] will work with Android apps in the coming future." 

This means all Chromebooks released hereafter be it a premium model or entry-level model, all will have support for Google Play Store and Android apps.

Three Chromebooks were unveiled at CES 2017, the Asus Chromebook Flip C302 and Samsung Chromebook Plus/Pro convertibles, and the traditional laptop style Acer Chromebook 11 N7, and all will ship with Play Store and Android apps.

As for the older models Currently only the Asus Chromebook Flip, Acer Chromebook R11 and Google's Chromebook Pixel 2 (running Chrome OS 53) support Android apps and Google Play in the Chrome OS stable channel, while other Chromebooks can get the access on Chrome OS beta channel.
