Get Ready, Facebook Is Testing Ads On Messenger
So, the earlier rumors are proving out to be true. You must hate it if you are not the business side as the ads will be a big advantage for business section which will allow them to expand to 1 billion people who use Facebook Messenger every month.
Facebook has announced that they are going to test ads in Messenger from next week onward, in Thailand and Australia with small set of users as for the initial stage of test. So, this small set of users(considered as the testing group) living in these two regions will start to see ads next week and will allow the company to see the reaction as well as working ability plus feedback for the same.
This move by the company will be criticized by the majority but this is how it goes. Facebook is gradually trying to help businesses grow through its various platforms and this time it is Messenger's turn. Well, the regular users will be annoyed to know about this but here's the catch, the ads will be coming with 2 options which are Hide and Report but that would work for particular ads just the way it works in the Facebook app. The above shot shows the idea about how it is going to look for iOS and no Android shot has been published with the announcement which keeps the words closed for the latter. Company clearly mentioned that the ads won't show up in the conversations as far as one is not chatting with some business account, this means that your personal chat with friends will not be disturbed.
The ads section will be added between Favorites and Active Now section and will have a menu for Hiding and Reporting the ads, with this menu the company is trying to cover up the damage a bit but once the testing phase goes onto expansion, you will sure miss the ad-free messenger.
