HTC's smartwatch codenamed Halfbeak surfaces in live photos

HTC's long rumored Android smartwatch code-named Halfbeak have leaked in live images, showing us how the company's first smartwatch will look like.

As seen in the leaked image, HTC's smartwatch will feature a circular display carrying a resolution 360 x 360 pixels and rubber strap, heart rate sensor and run Android Wear 1.0. The smartwatch could be a prototype, and the final product will most likely run Android Wear 2.0. Unfortunately details are scarce about the hardware.

There's also two buttons on the right side, and an Under Armor logo on the back of the smartwatch, indicating the device is built in collaboration with Under Armor. Both companies last year launched the UA Healthbox, a fitness kit which includes a smart band, heart rate monitor and smart weight scale.

HTC back in 2014 confirmed that the company is working on a smartwatch, but has been delaying the launch for unknown reason. If HTC decides to launch the smartwatch, it could happen next month at MWC in Barcelona. The timing will also make sense, as Android Wear 2.0 is due for early February launch. However, HTC is yet to announce its MWC presence.
