Now Facebook App To Integrate Disappearing Stories, There's No Stopping
Just a day ago, we reported that Facebook Messenger is going to implement ads in a separate section for business to customer relation(undergoing testing phase). Seems like, Facebook app got jealous that messenger is getting the headlines and limelight from yesterday so here's the app news today. Without a doubt Snapchat had made disappearing stories the next big thing in the social life of users. Later on, it was Instagram that implemented the same but with less filters and complications, after that WhatsApp was caught doing the same but with a different name dubbed 'Status' which is still to be in hands of its users. Facebook had tried this with apps and the latest example being the app called Flash released by the company in November, which went into a blackhole and never heard of again, this might be the reason that they have decided to integrate stories directly into the Facebook App for iOS and Android with the aim to move people away from Snapchat. They have been a tad bit successful in doing so with Instagram but they are desperate to have their own name with the same stories experience.
I have seen this interface earlier! Umm, Oh ya Instagram has it, but this is Facebook's screenshot that has been posted by Business Insider which claims that Facebook spokesperson told them about. This feature is being tested only in Ireland for now but is slated to be expanded to more and more regions in the coming months, says the report. This move is unnecessary as it will only make the app heavier in terms of data usage and memory consumption, which it already takes in enough amount.
There seems to be no halt for the Stories trend as we are going to see it in every major app we use, the next is going to be WhatsApp that has been testing it for a while now(disabled for users), though there's no hint at the release date for the same.
