OxygenOS 4.0.2 Brings Bugless Nougat to OnePlus 3T
OnePlus had done this just in time under the promised timeline around New Year's and rolled out Nougat to OnePlus 3 and 3T in the form of OxygenOS 4.0. Although, it was a really surprising move by the company as no one was expecting the update to arrive this early after a beta build but yeah, OnePlus did that. But here it seems as if they rushed into things in order to keep their promise of the year-end Nougat update and thus ended up providing a buggy Nougat (OxygenOS 4.0) update mainly to the 3T. Today, fixing all those bugs and adding some more functionalities, OnePlus is rolling out OxygenOS 4.0.2 for 3T.
This update is nothing more than a bug fix update and if you've been tired of the buggy 4.0 and 4.0.1 iterations of OxygenOS then this update is a savage for you. Weighing 30MB, as seen in the shot above, it mainly fixes Play Store and Proximity Sensor bugs that have been giving users a hard time. All the other stuff is relatively basic Nougat.
Here is the company's official post on the OnePlus forum which says that this is an incremental update and will hit a small set of users at first and if found ok, it will hit in a broader manner to mass audience.
Under the known issues, it is to be noted that WiFi might have some fluctuation problem (not necessary) and the company has requested users to report for the same if in case it happens. So, if you're much of a WiFi user, you should wait for reaction on the update if you've got one and then only proceed to install it.
