Asus India launches ROG Strix GL553 gaming laptop

Asus today launched a high-end Windows 10 gaming laptop in India dubbed ROG Strix GL553. The 15.6-inch aluminum and polycarbonate laptop will be available in the country starting at Rs. 94,990.

The will offer the ROG Strix GL553 laptop in multiple configurations with choices of seventh generation Intel's Core i5-7300HQ or Core i7-700HQ processors; 8GB or 16GB or 32GB DDR4 RAM; and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 with 2GB/4GB GDDR5 video memory or GTX 1050Ti with 4GB GDDR4 video memory.

For storage, the base model will offer 2.5-inch 1TB 7200RPM HDD, however, users could also opt for 128GB/256GB SATA III SSD.

The laptop will sport a 15.6-inch Full HD display and include HD webcam, a USB 3.0 port, USB Type-C port, USB 2.0 port, HDMI, Ethernet port, headphone jack and SD card reader. For wireless connectivity there's WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0. The laptop is backed by 48 Whr battery and the whole system weighs 2.4 kg.

Asus has also packed in loads of gaming features for gamers. The laptop comes with gamer-friendly keyboard, backed by Asus Aura, with four lighting areas for improved gaming experience in dark rooms. It also includes an illuminated ROG logo on top, Cooling Overdrive system (for better thermal management), ROG's latest Game Center, Auto Wizard and GameFirst IV networking technologies.
