Nougat 7.0 Update Lands For Moto Z Play In France & Germany

Motorola had started rolling out the Nougat 7.0 update to the Moto Z Play units in Portugal and Spain last month. France and Germany are the latest countries to join the pool of European nations to which the Nougat update has been extended. Although some Moto Z Play users in Germany had previously reported about receiving the update, we doubt that it was a soak test since we were not able to get a large scale confirmation of the update. Moto Z Play users in India were treated to the update in December last year, while those in Brazil had received the update at the beginning of the month.

The above screenshot comes courtesy of a French Moto Z Play user. The build number of the update is NPN25.137-24-1. We can confirm to you that the January security patch is bundled in the update. We have also received inputs from our Germany readers regarding the update. We are trying to obtain a screenshot as a means of proof for the same. We will update this post as and when we are able to obtain the screenshot.
