Samsung will showcase new AR and VR projects from C-Lab at MWC
Samsung has announced that it will showcase new Creative Lab (C-Lab) projects at MWC. For those unaware, C-Lab is Samsung's incubator program for new creative devices developed by employees.
At this years' MWC, Samsung's C-Lab projects are focused on Virtual and Augmented reality and includes Relumino, Monitorless, VuildUS and traVRer.
Relumino is a visual aid application aimed at visually impaired people. The app is designed to work with GearVR to help people with limited vision to read books, watch TV, or look at photos by putting enhanced visuals and texts infornt of their eyes.
VuildUs is a VR home interior and furnishing tool that uses 360-degree camera to scan the room's interior, and than lets you use a VR headset to see what a new furniture would look like or fit when placed in the room. Users can also view the items of furniture in 3D and buy it on the spot if they like home it looks in the room.
Lastly, traVRer is a 360-degree travel experience app that lets users experience realistic virtual travel before and after a real-life trip. The app also lets users to virtually experience landmarks and famous places at a specific time of day complete with mood, noise and events captured.
Samsung's new C-Lab projects will be exhibited at Samsung MWC Electronics’ booth (4YFN G1 in the Fira Barcelona).
