vivo Y55s with 5.2-inch display, 13MP camera launched in India at Rs. 12,490

China based popular smartphone maker vivo has launched a new 'Y' series smartphone in India called vivo Y55s.

The vivo Y55s features 5.2-inch HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor, further aided by Adreno 308 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, which can be expanded via microSD card.

The camera department is handled by 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front camera for selfies and video calling. In terms of connectivity, there's support for dual-SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It boots Android Marshmallow based Funtouch OS 3.0, while a 2730mAh battery keeps the lights on.

The phone also gets features like split-screen mode to run two apps side by side simultaneously, and a unique eye protection mode that reduces blue light emitted from the screen for comfortable viewing.

The vivo Y55s is priced at Rs. 12,490 and will be available across the country from February 26 in Crown Gold and Space Grey hues.
