Airtel gifts postpaid users 10GB free data per month for 3 months

Last week Airtel said that it would be giving its postpaid users free data under Airtel Surprise offer on March 13. Now the offer has gone live, and the teleco is giving postpaid subscribers 10GB of free 3G data pre month, for three months, taking the total to 30GB.

Airtel postpaid subscriber can claim the free data from MyAirtel app for Android and iOS. If you don't have the app, download & install from the respective app stores, and then register your postpaid number to get an OTP (one time password) to verify your number. Then on the app's home page, click on the Happy Holi/claim your free data banner, and the free data will be credited to your account. You'll also receive a confirmation SMS, notifying you, when the offer is activated.

The offer is valid from today, March 13, till March 31, 2017.

Meanwhile, Airtel recently announced new packs with unlimited calling and bundled data for its prepaid customers, and also offered additional data for life for its broadband users as well.

The announcement comes at a time when Reliance Jio's Happy New Year offer is coming to an end. The offer that gave Jio subscribers, unlimited voice calls, internet browsing (1GB FUP per day) and unlimited access to Jio apps will end on March 31, 2017. However, by paying one time fee of Rs. 99, Jio users can continue to enjoy the benefits of Happy New Year offer at Rs. 304 per month till March 31, 2018.
