Jio Extends Prime Membership Deadline To April 15, Other Highlights From Jio Event

• Jio users have a reason to rejoice yet again. Jio announced that Non Jio prime users can register for its membership till April 15.

° Jio prime users can now enjoy free data for next 3 months. But here's the catch, Jio specified that it is only applicable for those Jio prime users who recharge with the plan of Rs.303 and it is not applicable for Jio users who recharge with the plan of Rs.149

• Jio also announced that it will extend the availability of its towers in different parts of India and that should improve the network which used to stumble till now in various regions.

° Lastly Jio said that 72 million Jio users registered for Jio prime membership and still counting. This figure is indeed staggering. Jio had reported in February that they had crossed the threshold of 100 million users. This implies that about 70% of Jio users have decided to carry on using the services of the 4G-only network. This percentage of users is only going to increase since Jio has extended the deadline for the registration of prime membership.

Reliance Jio ads on television still mention March 31 as the last date for registration of prime membership. However, Jio has indeed extended the last date of registration, so please don't get confused.
