Play Store Update Brings Improvements To Search Results Page

Google is constantly experimenting with new features in the Play Store app and now a new one is making its way to all users with a new, improved search results page.

With the latest Play Store version, when you search for an app, you will see a big info card followed up by You Might Also Like, Similar Apps and More Results sections. The card displays some basic info about the app like the name, icon, author, rating, download counter, screenshots and also gives options to download the program. This feature doesn't work for all apps and is mostly present when searching for popular titles. Nevertheless, it is quite a handy UI change and I definitely like it.

This isn't the end, though. This new UI also appears when clicking on a link to the Play Store page of an app from the Google App. In that case, you will see a popup window with the same basic app info as in the actual Play Store app. There is also a button to quickly jump to the full app page. This is also quite a useful feature and definitely speeds up the process of installing apps on your device.
