Samsung's new Gear 360 camera can shoot 4K videos

Samsung at its Unpacked 2017 event introduced the new Gear 360 camera with a new lightweight and compact design and 4K video recording capabilities. It also comes with enhanced features for high-quality content.

The new Gear 360 now has a mushroom shape design, instead of the spherical shape. It is equipped with 8.4MP image sensor and Bright Lens F2.2 on both dual fisheye lenses to create high res images. The cameras can also capture 4K video for an immersive and realistic digital content.

Thanks to various viewing modes, editing tools and photo effects and filters, users can view or edit the captured 360-degree video or still images.

The camera also introduces real-time content sharing. Users can sync the Gear 360 with compatible smartphone or PC, for high-quality live-broadcasting or directly uploading the contents captured to various social platforms like Facebook, YouTube or Samsung VR.

The new Gear 360 camera is IP53 certified for water and dust resistant and features microSD card slot, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0 (Type-C) and a 1160mAh battery. The camera is compatible with Galaxy S8/S8+, Galaxy S7/S7 edge, Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6/S6 edge+/S6 edge, Galaxy A5 & A7 2017 edition, iPhone 7/7Plus, iPhone 6s/6s Plus, iPhone SE, Windows and macOS.
