Slightly Revamped Pixel Launcher Is Showing Up For Some Users

Pixel Launcher has been one of the favorites for users ever since it launched, the G Capsule design had attracted eyes and it was one of the reasons people tried out this new launcher from Google. Now, things are on the verge of some modifications as the G Capsule design is probably going away because of the new design of the Pixel Launcher that is reported being showing up for some users.

The new layout (on the right) and for the comparison left is the current design which has the capsule bar. The new layout in a sense brings back the search bar from Google Now Launcher to Pixel Launcher but the only difference is that the edges are round. Apart from this, day and date information has also been removed in the new design. With the first look, this new search bar looks kind of weird and incomplete as there is no text or placeholder. If you want to take a try with this new design, try clearing Pixel Launcher's data (which will clean your set layout too) and it might show up, it is the same method through which some users got the new look.
