LeEco Le Pro 3 AI Edition with dual 13MP cameras announced
LeEco has introduced a new variant of Le Pro 3, dubbed Le Pro 3 AI Edition in China. As the name suggests, the Le Pro 3 comes with AI assistant. Moreover, it comes with upgraded hardware featuring a MediaTek's high-end processor (instead of SD821) and dual-camera setup.
LeEco's AI is called "LeLe" and will join the likes of new comers such as Samsung's Bixby and HTC's Sense Companion. LeLe can be accessed when the screen is off using voice commands to carry out various actions, and works with third party-apps. LeEco promises that LeLe will get better over time.
Speaking of the dual-camera setup,the Le Pro 3 AI Edition is LeEco's first smartphone to feature dual cameras. It sports dual 13MP (monochrome sensor) + 13MP (RGB sensor) PDAF f.2/2.0 cameras to snap better and clear shots. The main cameras is accompanied by dual-LED flash and is also capable of capturing 4K videos. The dual-cameras resemble a smiley face. For selfies there's 8MP f/2.2 76.5 wide-angle front facing camera.
The LeEco Pro 3 AI Edition has 5.5-inch Full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display and will be available in two variants - one with MediaTek Helio X23 SoC, 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, and other with MediaTek Helio X27 chip, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB Type-C. It runs Android Marshmallow based EMUI 5.9 and is fueled by a beefy 4000mAh battery. There's also a fingerprint scanner located at the rear side.
The LeEco Le Pro 3 AI Edition is priced at CNY 1799 ($260 | Rs. 17,000) for the Helio X23 version, and CNY 2399 ($347 | Rs. 22,400) For the Helio X27 version. It will go on sale in China from April 14 in Rose Gold, Black and Gold colors.
