Nokia 6 Is Now Running Nougat 7.1.1 Officially, Company Stands To Its Promise
It is clear that there are very few of the devices in the smartphone world that are running Nougat 7.1.1 as we speak and by very few, we mean really few. Nexus and Pixels are known for getting the updates first and yes they still do but here, Nokia is doing some exceptional job that they also promised. Nokia 6, the device that is one of the comeback devices that brings Nokia on the track of Android is now running Nougat 7.1.1, and yes, officially.
The update has been delivered as the part of the promise by the company that the new devices from Nokia will receive regular and fast Android updates along with the security patches. The update to Nougat 7.1.1 comes in with an odd looking build number 00CN_3_170 but who cares when your device becomes one of the few running 7.1.1 right? The update also brings April security patch and some other optimizations like power saving, improvements to networks and also the USB driver. It takes 369mb to install but recommends near 600mb of free space to be installed comfortably. So yes, other OEMs should now stress on the software department too as Nokia is coming in with stiff competition.
