Wileyfox Has Started Rolling Out Nougat 7.1.1 For The Swift 2/X/Plus
Wileyfox had earlier promised that it will be upgrading all of it's phones to the latest version of Android - Nougat. Keeping it's word, Wileyfox has announced that the Nougat 7.1.1 update is being rolled out to the Swift 2, Swift 2 X and Swift 2 Plus.
The build number of the update is TOS089A and it weighs 1.4GB in size. The update also packs in the latest April security patch. Android Nougat brings a lot of new features to the table. These include an editable quick settings panel, bundled notifications with the ability to reply to messages through the notification itself, setting tile summaries, better multitasking courtesy of the split screen mode, an inbuilt data saver mode and better battery life.
Wileyfox is a few weeks late with the Nougat update for the Swift trio. The British smartphone manufacturer had stated in December that it will be updating it's entire lineup of smartphones to Nougat by the end of this year's first quarter. That timeline was pushed to end of April in March and now Wileyfox has further pushed it to the end of this year's second quarter. The new timeline for the updates can be found below.
Since the update is being rolled out in batches, it might take some time to reach you. If you are eager to install the update, you can download the update ZIP from here (thanks /u/whyleefox) and flash it on your Wileyfox Swift via ADB.
