Gigabyte's Aero 15 is a slim gaming laptop with lots of power
Gigabyte is launcing Aero 15, a ultra thin and light-weight gaming laptop boasting powerful gaming performance, just like Razer Blade and Acer's new Predator Triton 700. It weighs 2.1kg and has a thickness of 19.9mm (0.78), while packing high end configuration.
The Aero 15 packs a 15.6-inch screen into a 14-inch chassis, thanks to the 5mm thin bezels on top and sides of the display, offering more viewing space without increasing chassis size. This is similar to Dell XPS laptop's Infinity Edge display. Currently, the notebook is available with Full HD display, and Gigabyte will also launch a 4K display model soon.
The performance of Aero 15 is handled by 7th gen Intel Core i-7700HQ Kaby Lake quad-core processor, VR-ready NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GDDR5 6GB graphics card, 8GB/16GB DDR4 2400 x 2 slots (Max 32GB) and 2 x M.2 PCIe SSD.
It has a HD camera (below the screen) USB Type-C Thunderbolt 3 port, three USB 3.0 (Type-A) ports, HDMI 2.0, mini DisplayPort 1.3, combo-audio jack, microSD card slot, WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0.
The gaming notebook comes with RGB Fusion keyboard, and using the RGB Fusion software, you can personalize any key with macro and RGB lighting from a panel of more than 16.8 million colors. It also has a specially designed dual fan and heat pipe system maintain an optimal chassis temperature and performance, which playing high-end games.
Gigabyte claims that Aero 15 can provide up to 10 hours of battery life.
The Aero 15 starts at $1899 (16GB RAM/512GB SSD) and will be available in black, green and orange color.
