Honor 6A announced with Snapdragon 430, Android Nougat
Huawei sub-brand Honor has announced a new mid-range budget smartphone in China dubbed Honor 6A. The smartphone boasts a sandblasted metal unibody design, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and runs Android Nougat based EMUI 5.1.
In terms of specifications, the Honor 6A features 5-inch HD display and is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 430 Mobile Platform coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. It comes in two varaints: 2GB RAM/16GB storage and 3GB RAM/32GB storage. The storage is expandable via microSD card.
For photography, there's 13MP PDAF rear camera with LED flash and is capable of recording up to 1080p videos. On the front its gets 5MP selfie camera. Connectivity duties are handled by 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. A 3020mAh battery runs the show, that promises up to 12 hours of video playback or 57 hours of music playback.
The Honor 6A has been priced at CNY 799 ($116 | Rs. 7,500) for the 2GB RAM/16GB storage version, and CNY 999 ($145 | Rs. 9,735) for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant. It comes in Gold, Silver, Blue and Pink color, and will be available in China starting June 1.
