Lenovo Smart Band HW01 fitness tracker with OLED display, heart rate sensor launched at Rs. 1,999
Lenovo is launching its first fitness tracker in India called Smart Band HW01, that will be competing with Xiaomi's popular Mi Band 2 (Rs. 1,999), and Intex's recently launched FitRist Cardio (Rs. 1,499).
Like the Mi Band 2 and FitRist Cardio, the Lenovo Smart Band HW01 also has a heart rate sensor that can detect your heart rate every 15 minutes. It also vibrates, when your heart reaches the designated threshold.
Besides heart rate monitoring, the Smart Band HW01 comes with the usual fitness tracking features like counting steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned and sleep monitoring. There's also a "Anti-Sleep Mode" that automatically wakes you in case you've slept beyond the designated time. This mode also alerts you of concentration loss or dozing while driving or working at night.
The fitness tracker has a 0.91-inch OLED touch display covered by scratch-resistant glass and anti-fingerprint coating. The display shows time, fitness stats and heart rate.
When connected to compatible devices (Android and iOS) via Bluetooth 4.2 LE the fitness tracker offers vibrating alerts for incoming calls, messages, email, social media notifications (WhatsApp and Facebook) and lets you control the music.
It promises only five days of battery life (85mAh battery), which is less compared to Xiaomi Mi Band 2's 20 days, and Intex Fitrist Cardio's seven days. It is IP65 rated making it dust and water resistant and comes with skin-friendly silicone strap that has stainless steel buckle, and weighs 22g.
The Lenovo Smart Band (HW01) comes in Black color and is priced at Rs. 1,999. It will be available exclusively from Flipkart.
