May Distribution Chart: Nougat's Growth Saga Continues, Big Jump

It's a matter of worry regarding the Android Upgrades that follows up slowly to OEMs running stock android first, and later the ones with their own skin on top of Android. With Android O Developer Preview out and Google I/O is so close, Nougat's growth was expected everywhere and this month marks the biggest growth till now for Nougat. The chart in May stands as follows-

Last month the growth % of Nougat touched 2.1 but this month it catches upto 2.2%. The total share that pie of Nougat(v7.0 7.1) covers is now 7.1% of the distribution which is better if Marshmallow is compared at the same time last year, Marshmallow carried 4.6% share in May 2016 so without a doubt it's nice to see Nougat running on over 7% Android devices already. The very fact can't be ignored that new devices are being launched at very fast pace and every other OEM is trying to launch the devices with Nougat out of the box and now v7.1.1 is the target for such OEMs so Nougat will carry on growing now with numbers fluctuating and growth constant.

Another interesting thing is that Gingerbread is up by 0.1% too which is definately a matter that catches the eyes with Lollipop up by 0.3% too which might not matter much, All the remaining versions are down this month. June will witness many new launches so Nougat's growth will be unstoppable now.
