New ZTE Axon 7 update brings Night Mode setting, up to 256GB microSD card support


Back in March, ZTE rolled out Android 7.1.1 update to Axon 7. Now the Chinese smartphone maker is rolling out a new update to the Axon 7 in the U.S, that brings a couple of new features.

The Build 25 adds a "Night Mode" setting to reduce the amount of blue light emitted from the screen to prevent eye strain, while viewing the screen at night. The build also boasts the external microSD card support up to 256GB. Previously microSD card of up to 128GB were supported.

The build also includes fixes for WiFi calling, optimizations to the "Do Not Disturb" function, along with stability, security and performance improvements and bug fixes. It also allows users to disable some stock apps, that shipped with the device.

ZTE recommends that you remove the SD card before installing Build 25. The update is rolling out over the air (OTA) and will be available to all users in the next 48 hours.
