OKWU Omicron with 5.5-inch display, 3GB RAM, VoLTE launched at Rs. 10,499

Noida based startup OKWU is launching its second smartphone called the Omicron. The brand's earlier phone was Pie and carried low-end specs, dual-cameras, fingerprint scanner and Rs. 5,999 price tag. However, the new Omicron comes with beefed up specs, but misses the dual-cameras.

The OKWU Omicron features 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display and powered by 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 64GB).

For photography, it gets 13MP PDAF rear camera and 5MP selfie camera, both accompanied by LED flash. Connectivity options include dual-SIM slots, 4G, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is fueled by a 3000mAh battery, which promises to offer up to 16 hours of talk-time and upto 72 hours standby time. The device runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and a fingerprint scanner rounds off the spec sheet.

The OKWU Omicron is priced at Rs. 10,499 and will be available through retail stores across the country. This smartphone will definetly get a miss.
