Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016), Galaxy A7 (2016) receiving Android Nougat in India

Samsung is updating two of its Galaxy A series smartphone to the latest Android flavor. The Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016) has started receiving Android Nougat update in India. The Nougat roll out for A5 2016 started with Russia.

With Nougat update, the Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016) gets the new user interface that runs on Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. It also brings improvements to notifications, more customisable quick settings, improved settings menu, multi-window mode, Samsung Pass, performance mode to extend battery life and enhancements to the system upgrade and app installation process.

The update weighs around 970MB and is being rolled out OTA (over-the-air). If you've not been notified about the update go to  Settings » About Device menu to check manually.
