Xiaomi Mi Router 3C launched in India for Rs. 1,199
Alongside the budget Redmi 4 smartphone, Xiaomi is also launching its first router in India called Mi Router 3C. It is a budget router, priced at Rs. 1,199 and will be available at Mi Home store in Bengaluru on May 20, Mi.com on May 23, and Amazon India and Flipkart starting June 8.
The Mi Router 3C sports four high-performance copper antennas: two for transmitting data, and the other two to receive data. It also features a dedicated PCB circuit.
The device is a 802.11 b/g/n single-band router operating on 2.4GHz frequency, and supports up to 300Mbps transmission speed. It provides a range of 80m and can be connected to up to 64 devices.
It is equipped with MediaTek MT7628N processor, 64MB RAM and 16MB storage. The ports include 2 X Lan port, 1 x RJ45 Want port and a power port.
You can configure the router using the Mi WiFi app available for iOS and Android device. The app also offers functions like parental control, that lets blacklist/white-list unwanted websites or setting time limits on child internet usage; set timers for turning the WiFi on or off, real-time data monitoring for bandwidth usage, WiFi booster and setting up guest network.
