Motorola officially announces Moto E4 & E4 Plus
After releasing Moto Z2 Play, Motorola has officially taken the wraps of the Moto E4 and E4 Plus. Both are budget smartphones and get major upgrades in terms of design and hardware, over their predecessors, the Moto E3.
The Moto E4 & E4 Plus moves away from polycarbonate body, and now sport metal body with water repellent coating. And for the first time in the Moto E series you get a fingerprint scanner as well to unlock the device. They run the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of box and are equipped selfie flash for beautifully sharp photos even in low lights.
The Moto E4 has a 5-inch HD display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. It's worth mentioning that the U.S model will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 425/427 processor.
For photography, there's 8MP f/2.2 rear camera and 5MP f/2.2 front facing camera. Both are assisted by single LED flash. Connectivity options include dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC and GPS. A 2800mAh battery runs the show.
The Moto E4 Plus on the other hand is a powerhouse. It packs 5000mAh battery, which can provide the device juice for up to two days without charging. The device also works with 10W rapid charger, which gives you hours of battery life in minutes of charging. It comes with 5.5-inch HD display, 3GB RAM (US version will have 2GB RAM) and 16GB/32GB expandable storage. The cameras department includes 13MP f/2.0 rear camera and 5MP f/2.2 front camera. Both are accompanied by single-LED flash as well. Other specs are same as Moto E4.
The Moto E4 has been priced at $129.99 (€149 in Europe | Rs. 8,400) and comes in Iron Grey, Blush Gold and Oxford Blue color (Licorice Black, Fine Gold in the U.S), while the the Moto E4 Plus costs $179.99 (€199 in Europe | Rs. 11,600) and comes in Iron Grey and Fine Gold colors. They will be available across various countries including later this month.
