Razer Blade Stealth gaming laptop gets a refresh: large display, same size
Razer is updating its sleek 12.5-inch Blade Stealth ultrabook, with a new model that has a larger display, but the same body size.
The new Razer Stealth has 13.3-inch display, and the bezels have been reduced by 50 percent to squeeze the bigger display into the same 0.52-inch chassis of its predecessor.
The 13-3-inch model sports 3200 x 1800 IGZO touch screen panel with 170 degree viewing angles, 100% sRGB color gamut coverage and 400 nits of brightness. It comes with Intels Core i7-7500 U processor, up to 16GB RAM, and up to 1TB PCIe SSD.
Note that the gaming notebook comes with Intel HD Graphics 620, but you can get more powerful performance by connecting the laptop to the Razer Core, a desktop graphics enclosure, that can accommodate a full length PCI-Express x16 graphics card. You will have to install your own powerful GPU in the core and connect it to the Blade Stealth via Thunderbolt 3. The Core also includes 4 x USB 3.0 ports and Gigabit Ethernet.
The new 13.3-inch model prices start at $1399 for the 256GB model, and goes all the way up to $1999 for a 1TB version.
In addition to the new 13.3-inch model with thinner bezels and Black color, Razer also introduced a new Gunmetal Gray color option with white backlit keyboard as well.
Each version of Razer Blade Stealth features Thunderbolt 3, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, 2MP webcam, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, Chrome anti-ghosting keyboard with individually backlit keys, stereo speakers and headset jack. The notebook packs 53.6 Wh battery, which promises nine hours of battery life.
