Xiaomi Mi Laser Projector offers 150-inch projection
Xiaomi has announced a new product under its MIJIA brand called Mi Laser Projector, and touts it to be the "world's first truly cinema-level laser projector TV."
The Mi Laser Projector can project to a 150-inch huge screen with 5000 lumens source brightness and 3000:1 native contrast, for maximum visual pleasure. It comes with 0.2333:1 large depth of field, and has a large depth short focus lens design so you can place it at a distance of just 50cm from the wall.
The projector uses ALPD 3.0 laser light source technology developed by Appotronics, and a custom DLP solution developed for Mi Ecosystem by Texas Instruments. It comes with 4 high-quality speaker system backed by Dolby Digital and DTS technologies, and has the Mi TV interface allowing you to view movies and TV episodes.
The projector has its own remote control, but you can use Xiaomi's universal remote control app as well, to operate the projector. For connectivity it has 3 x HD MI port, a USB 3.0 port, Ethernet port and a audio output, AV Input and S/PDIF ports. Xiaomi says the projector has 25,000 hours of last life, so if you use to for two hours a day, it lasts for 34 years.
The Mi Laser Projector has been priced at CNY 9999 ($1479 | Rs. 95,000) making it Xiaomi's costliest product to date. It will go on sale in China starting July 4 via its crowdfunding platform.
