Apple discontinues iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle

Apple is discontinuing its iconic music players: iPod nano and iPod Shuffle to simplify its iPod family. They were first introduced in 2005, and haven't been updated for years, however they were available in new colors.

The company also refreshed the iPod Touch line. The iPod touch is now available in two versions, one with 32GB capacity priced at $199, and 128GB storage priced $299. The previous 16GB and 64GB storage version are no longer available, and has been discontinued as well.

The rest of the specs remain unchanged, and it still have a 4-inch Retina display bearing the resolution 1136 x 640 pixels, A8 chipset, 8MP rear camera and 1.2 front camera. It will also support the upcoming iOS 11 software as well.

It's worth mentioning that the now discontinued iPod nano and iPod Shuffle were the last two iPods that did not run iOS, so it seems that Apple is killing every iPod that doesn't support Apple's software. Both have been removed from the Apple's website and online store. Apple discontinued the iPod classic in 2014.
