Asus ZenFone 4 Max with dual-cameras, 5000mAh battery announced
The first member of the ZenFone 4 family is officially out, and it's a mid-range smartphone with dual camera and massive battery. Asus has announced the ZenFone 4 Max in Russia, the successor of last year's ZenFone 3 Max. It ships with Android Nougat based ZenUI 3.0 and sports an unibody metal design.
As mentioned earlier, the ZenFone 4 Max packs a beefy battery capacity of 5000mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 40 hours of talk time, up to 22 hours of video playback, and up to 46 days of stanby time. It also supports revese charging function, and can be used to charge other devices via USB OTG.
The dual-camera system consists of a 13MP sensor with 180-degree lens, PDAF, and a secondary sensor with 120-degree wide-angle lens for capturing landscape or group shots, both assisted by LED flash. For selfies there's 8MP shooter on the front accompanied by soft LED flash.
As far as other specs are concerned, the ZenFone 4 Max features 5.5-inch Full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display, and comes in multiple variants featuring Snapragon 425/430 processor, and with RAM/ROM options of 2GB/16GB, 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. It also has microSD card slot for storage expansion, as well as a seperate dual-SIM slot.
Other specs include fingerprint scanner, 5-magnet speakers with NXP Smart Amp Amplifier, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. Color options include Black, Gold and Pink.
The ZenFone 4 Max price starts at 13900 Ruble ($234 | Rs. 15,000) for the 2GB RAM/16GB storage variant (ZC554KL), and will go on sale in Russia soon.
