GST impact: Apple cuts iPhone, iPad, Watch, Mac prices in India

With GST or Goods and Services Tax now in effect, Apple has announced a reduction in the maximum retail prices (MRP) of iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and iMac in India.

The move makes iPhone prices in the country much more attractive for the customers and the price drop would help Apple to get some share of the pie in the highly competitive Indian smartphone market. Currently, Apple has a share of 43 per cent in India with Samsung on top.

The iPhone has received a price cut, starting with Rs. 1,200 for the 32GB iPhone SE, and going all the way up to Rs. 6,600 for the latest iPhone 7 Plus's to end version with 256GB storage. The iPad has received up to Rs. 3,900 price cut, and Mac line of PCs up to Rs. 11,800. Check out the revised pricing (Via):
