LG Q6 launch set for July 11, expected to come with 5.4-inch display, Snapdragon 430
LG wants everyone to experience its flagship G6's bezel-less design, including consumers in emerging market, where affording a premium flasgship device is still a dream. Rumors have claimed that the company is working on a mini version with smaller diplay and 'lite' specs, which will reportedly launch as LG Q6.
And now putting an end to the rumors, LG Poland has scheduled an event for July 11, to officially introduce the Q6. The teaser image shared by LG also confirms the name of the device.
Meanwhile, ahead of the unveiling, the LG Q6 has been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking website carrying model number LGE LG-M700, revealing the processor, RAM and operating system. The device with the same model number was also listed on FCC.
As per the listing the LG GQ6 will be equipped with the mid-range octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor, the same used in Nokia 5, Nokia 6, Redmi 4 and Moto G5. The processor does not set the benchmark on fire, but will offer efficient performance. The use of Snapdragon 430 processor also suggests that the device will flaunt Full HD or HD display instead of LG G6's QHD.
The listing further reveals that LG Q6 will pack 3GB RAM, and run Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
According to earlier reports the LG Q6 will have 5.4-inch display with 18.5:9 aspect ration, and sport minimal bezels for a screen-to-body ratio of around 80 percent. The LG G6 flaunted dual-cameras, but the Q6 is expected to come with a single 13MP camera. Considering the specs, the LG Q6 could be priced between $300 and $350 (below Rs. 25,000).
We should get all the details when the LG Q6 goes official next week.
