LG Q6, Q6+ and Q6α goes official with FullVision display, Snapdragon 435
LG is bringing its flagship G6's FullVision display to a new more affordable 'Q' line of smartphones. The Q6, Q6+ and Q6α comes with Full HD+ FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio and minimal bezels resulting in a screen-to-body ratio of around 80 percent. They all share the same specs but differ in terms of RAM and storage.
The LG Q6α is the most affordable in the Q line carrying 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The Q6 has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and the Q6+ houses 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
The LG Q6, Q6+ and Q6α feature a smaller 5.5-inch screen, instead of G6's 5.7-inch. It will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 435 instead of G6's Snapdragon 821 and has a single camera instead of dual-cameras.
It gets 13MP rear camera and 5MP 100-degree wide-angle front camera. But the camera features are same as G6's including Square Camera mode, GIF mode, Food mode and more.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM slots, microSD card slot, 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS and NFC. It ships with Android 7.1.1 Nougat and packs 3000mAh battery.
The LG G6 had a metal and glass design, but the LG Q line gets plastic body, but the frames are made of aluminum. It also ditches the fingerprint scanner. Color options include Astro Black and Ice Platinum for the Q line, the Q6 also comes in Mystic White and Terra Gold color, Q6α in Terra Gold and Q6+ in Marine Blue hues.
The LG Q6 line will roll out to select Asian markets starting August followed by Europe, Latin America and North America. There’s no word regarding their pricing at the moment.
