Moto E4 & E4 Plus Launched In India Today
Motorola is in a way completing its portfolio, adding various devices from different price ranges to it, including premium, first time buyers, budget and midrangers. Today, during a launch event, the company made the E4 and E4 Plus official. The devices have some potential in numerous areas, but the company is still missing some crucial checkpoints with the new series. Here's what the new E4 family has to offer to Indian audience.
First, let's take a look at the smaller Moto E4. Here's what it has to offer:
First, let's take a look at the smaller Moto E4. Here's what it has to offer:
- 5"HD Display
- 8/5MP Cameras carrying flashes
- Mediatek MT6737 Quad Core Processor
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB ROM
- 2800mAh Battery
- Android 7.1.1
- 4G VoLTE support
- Fingerprint Sensor
The E4 seems to be a budget-friendly device as it comes at Rs.8999 via offline stores only accross India. The device has got a premium look and feel with the same Moto design language as seen in the higher end models. It will be available in Iron Grey, Blush Gold and Oxford Blue.
The bigger Moto E4 Plus bumps up the specs to:
- 5.5" HD Display
- 13/5MP Camera with flashes on both
- Mediatek MT6737 Quad Core Processor
- 3GB RAM
- 16GB ROM
- 5000mAh Battery
- Android 7.1.1
- 4G VoLTE support
- Fingerprint Sensor
The E4 Plus is a good candidate here in India, coming in at Rs.9999, Flipkart exclusive available from 11:59pm tonight. The big 5000mAh battery is the main highlight here and this will surely attract power users, though the large battery will make the device slightly heavier.
The let downs we see here are the processor and display. Why Motorola is still sticking with MediaTek is still quite confusing, and a FHD display would have made the device more interesting. The silver lining is that the phones come with Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box, which is great to see in these budget devices. Motorola is being really quick at launching new devices nowadays, and this is not going to change for quite a while, with the Moto Z2 and X4 just around the corner.
