Motorola all but confirms Moto Z2 Force will be unveiled on July 25
Motorola has scheduled an event on July 25 in New York city for the launch of the premium flagship Moto Z2/Moto Z2 Force. However, the invite sent earlier did not reveal much about the device the company plans to launch. But now it has released a new teaser for the event with the tagline "get ready to shatter your experience" breaking through glass and the silhouette of two shattered phone screens.
This all but confirms that Moto Z2 Force with shatterproof display will be announced on July 25. It is not yet known, if there will be a regular Moto Z phone.
The shatterproof display was first introduced with the Moto X line (Moto X Force), and was also used on Moto Z2 Force's predecessor, Moto Z Force. The Shatterproof display is made of aluminum rigid core, flexible AMOLED screen, exterior & interior protective lens and dual-layer touchscreen panels to make it rough and tough. This display wouldn't break into pieces even when dropped on a slab of concrete. The 2017 version of shatterproof display is expected to be even better.
As far as Moto Z2 Force's specs are concerned, it is expected to feature 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform, 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage, dual 12MP cameras, 5MP selfie camera with dual-tone LED flash, fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, 1Gbps LTE speeds and ship with Android 7.1.1. Similar to the Moto Z Force, the Moto Z2 Force will have the 16-pin connector for attaching the optional Moto Mods and ditch 3.5mm audio jack.
Alongside Moto Z2 Force, we can expect Motorola to introduce new Moto Mods, and even make surprise announcements, like the unveiling of Moto X4 and Moto G5S Plus.
