Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) spotted on GFXBench
Samsung usually announces its Galaxy A series in late December or early January. For those unaware, Samsung Galaxy A line brings upper mid-range specs along with premium design at a budget. And now is the right time for the 2018 edition of Galaxy A line to appear in rumors and various benchmark websites.
An alleged member of the Galaxy A 2018 family with model number SM-A730x, believed to be the Galaxy A7 (2018) has been spotted on GFXBenchmark, revealing almost all the specs, except for the battery capacity.
According to benchmarks, Galaxy A7 (2018) will feature Full HD display, and the screen size is unknown. The 2017 edition of Galaxy A7 had 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen, so we can expect the Galaxy A7 2018 to keep the same screen size and Super AMOLED panel.
The listing further reveals that Galaxy A7 (2018) will have 2.21GHz octa-core processor, coupled with Mali G71 GPU. This is most likely to be a Exynos chipset. It will feature 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 16MP front and rear camera, and run Android 7.1.1 out-of-the box. It will support NFC for Samsung Pay, and definitely have microSD card slot fingerprint scanner and IP68 rating for resisting water and dust.
For comparison, the 2017 edition of Galaxy A7 features, 5.7-inch Full HD display, 1.9GHz octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 16MP front and rear camera, and 3600mAh battery. It currently sells in India for Rs. 33,490.
