Xiaomi outs list of devices getting Nougat

Xiaomi's Mi 6 and Mi Max 2 ship with Android 7.1.1 Nougat, but there's a majority of devices still running Android Marshmallow. Now the Chinese smartphone maker has released a list of devices, that qualify to receive Android Nougat. 

The list includes a total of 14 smartphones, and 10 of them will receive Nougat v7.0, and the remaining four will be eligible for Nougat v7.1.1. Xiaomi also confirmed that Nougat is being tested for Mi Note 2, Mi Mix, Redmi 4/4X, Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus, so these devices should get the update soon. Also do note that Mi 5 has already been updated to Nougat earlier this year.

Here's the list of Xiaomi smartphones that are already on Nougat (Live) or are scheduled to receive the update

Xiaomi from time to time keeps rolling out updates to MIUI with new features, but is backwards when it comes to major Android update. This news come as a relief for Xiaomi users who are running older version of Android.
