Essential To Give "First Look" Of Its Phone On August 25

Essential Products had confirmed earlier this week that they will be announcing a release date for their phone by the following week. According to an invite Droid-Life got their hands on, Essential will be showcasing the PH-1 (Phone) in an event on August 25.

The event seems to be restricted to only consumers who live in the Los Angeles region and had pre-booked the PH-1. The press haven't received any media invites to cover up the event which leads us to believe that the "First Look" event may well be minus the press. Although we did get a good look at the PH-1 when it was announced on May 30, the phone showcased in the May announcement is believed to be just a prototype. The "First Look" tagline to the event therefore might be just.

The invite doesn't detail much except the event's date and timings. The address is blurred for obvious reasons. Several users on Reddit have claimed to receive a similar invite for an event in New York City on August 21. If these claims stand out to be true, Essential may be hosting a launch event in several cities, just like the Pop-Up events OnePlus did to launch the OP 5.
