Jabra Elite Sport ear buds with fitness features launched in India

Jabra is launching a pair of truly wireless earbuds in India aimed at fitness enthusiasts. Called Elite Sport, the ear buds have a cord-free design and boasts fitness features.

The Elite Sport ear buds offers advanced personalized fitness analysis with in-ear heart rate monitor, that promises 90%+ accuracy.  It has IP67 water and dust resistance, to prevent them from entering the ear buds.

Each ear buds have two digital MEMS microphones, one to capture the voice, and the other to filter background noise. It promises up to 4.5 hours of music play back and the portable charging case adds another nine hours of battery life, for a total of 13.5 hours of power.

The ear buds are compatible with Android and iOS devices, and pairs with them over Bluetooth 4.1. There companion app offers automatic fitness testing (VO2 Max measurement), race-time predictor and recovery advisor. The app also offers personalized in-ear audio coaching in real-time during workout.

The Jabra Elite Sport carries a price tag of Rs. 18,990 and will be available across the country starting August 8 in Black and Lime Green hues. The ear buds also come with three-year warrants against damage caused by sweat.
