Lenovo K8 Note with dual-cameras, stock Android Nougat unveiled, starts at Rs. 12,999
Chinese tech giant Lenovo has finally launched the K8 Note in India, featuring dual cameras, and a starting price of Rs. 12,999.
That's the price of the base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Add Rs. 1,000 extra, and you'll be able to pick up the high-end version with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage for Rs. 13,999. Both models will be Amazon exclusive and will go on sale from August 18.
Interestingly, Lenovo has borrowed a few features from its subsidary Motorola's mid-range devices. Dual cameras is already mentioned, others are a selfie flash, P2i nano coating for splash resistant, stock Android, turbo charging and dedicated slot for dual-SIM & microSD card (instead of hybrid dual-SIM found on K5 Note, K6 Note)
The Lenovo K8 Note features 5.5-inch Full HD display, MediaTek's deca-core Helio X23 processor, 13 MP front camera, fingerprint scanner and 4000mAh battery. It sports two cameras at the back- the primary 13 MP camera with PureCel Plus sensor and a secondary 5MP camera. Both front and rear cameras have dedicated flash as well.
It runs stock Android 7.1.1, which means it will be free from bloats. However, Lenovo's in-house technology like TheaterMax and Doby Atmos still exist.
Other notable features are 4G VoLTE, Turbo Charging, fingerprint scanner and a dedicated hardware Music Key for controlling the music. You can even customize the key to perform other functions.
The K8 Note sports metal unibody design that has P2i nano coating to withstand light splashes, and comes in Venom Black and Fine Gold colors.
Personally I prefer the Black Venom color, and if you're looking for a Snapdragon powered-phone, wait for Xiaomi's upcoming dual-camera phone.
