LG V30 to reportedly feature 6-inch OLED display, floating bar, f/1.6 aperture

LG has already confirmed that its V30 flagship will launch at the end of this month in Berlin. It will reportedly ditch signature secondary ticker screen found on  V10 & V20, to make way for LG G6's FullVision display, for a bezel-less design. The use of FullVision display also means that, the LG V30 will flaunt narrow bezels on the top and bottom. 

Now Android Authority has revealed some new details of the LG V30. The report says that LG is dropping the secondary display and its function on V30 will be delivered by a 'Floating Bar'. The new floating bar is said to provide quick access to shortcuts and notifications. However, the exact working of this feature is not known.

The report also confirms that LG V30 will sport 6-inch QHD+ OLED FullVision display (18:9 aspect ratio) with rounded corners, and will support HDR 10 and Google's Daydream VR platform out of the box. It also further claims that the V30 will be the first to feature a camera with f/1.6 aperture, compared to the current standard f/1.7 aperture, for improved low-light camera performance. The camera will also feature "Crystal Clear Glass Lens".

The rest of the specs is said to be a mix of LG V20 and LG G6 including military standard protection, IP68 rating for water & dust resistance, 6000-series aluminum with Gorilla Glass 5, a new Quad DAC audio chip, and a heating & cooling pipe.

Previous reports have suggested that V30 will have Snapdragon 835 Mobile platform, 4GB RAM, up to 128GB storage, dual-camera setup at the back, fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, Android 7.1.1 and 3300mAh battery.

The LG V30 will be announced on August 31, and rumors say it will hit the market on September 28, with pre-orders opening on September 17 (US market).
