Meizu M6 Note goes official with Snapdragon 625, dual-cameras


Meizu at an event in China today introduced its latest M Note series smartphone, the M6 Note. It sports a premium metal unibody design and home button integrated fingerprint sensor. It also Meizu's first budget smartphone to boast dual-camera setup at the back.

The dual-camera system is a 12MP Sony IMX362/Samsung 2L7 sensor with f/1.9 aperture, dual-tone quad-LeD flash, dual PD focusing technology for fast focus in just 0.03 seconds and a 5MP f/2.0 secondary sensor to capture depth information. The selfie shooter on the front is a 16MP f/2.0 sensor.

As for the other specs, the Meizu M6 Note has 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 Mobile Platform. It comes in multiple variants featuring 3GB/4GB RAM, and 16GB/32GB/64GB storage. The storage is expandable as well via microSD card.


It runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat based Flyme OS 6, and packs 4000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. Connectivity options include hybrid dual-SIM slots, 4G, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. Color options are Black, Blue and Gold.

The Meizu M6 Note 3GB RAM/16GB storage version has been priced at CNY 1099 ($165 | Rs. 10,500), the 3GB RAM/32GB storage version at CNY 1299 ($195 | Rs. 12,500) and the 4GB RAM/64GB storage version costs CNY 1699. It will be for order in China today and go on sale starting September 2.
