The Apple iPhone event is set for September 12

Apple has finally revealed when it will introduce its next iPhone. The Cupertino giant has sent out official invites for a press event on September 12, where the company is expected to show off new hardware products including the bezel-less iPhone 8, that will mark the 10-year anniversary for iPhone.

The event will take place at the Steve Job Theater in Cupertino located at the company’s new Apple Park campus, and the event kicks off at 10am local time (10:30pm IST). This will be the company's first event at the new Apple Park.

Speaking of the iPhone 8, it is said to have a bezel-free design, somewhat like Essential Phone. It will sport OLED display, and the Touch ID fingerprint sensor is getting an axe making ways for a new 3D facial recognition technology. It will also feature gesture control, dual-cameras, AR technology and support wireless charging. The iPhone 8 is rumored to cost over $1000, making it the most expensive iPhone ever, and that's for the base model.

Apart from iPhone 8, Apple is also expected to introduce the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus at the event. Other products expected are 4K Apple TV and Apple Watch with cellular connection, along with new features of iOS 11. Interestingly, one day before on September 11, China's Apple, Xiaomi will introduce its bezel-less smartphone, the Mi MIX 2.
