HTC's next flagship U11 Plus will reportedly sport near bezel-less screen

Yesterday Google struck $1.1 billion deal with HTC under which HTC employees working on Pixel products will move to Google. Despite the move, HTC confirmed that it will continue to manufacture its own smartphone. It also confirmed that a flagship device, the successor of U11 is already work-in-progress. And now we get to know some details of the upcoming flagship product.

According to a new rumor coming out of France, HTC's next flagship is codenamed 'Ocean Master' and will be called U11 Plus and launch in November. The upcoming U11 Plus is also said to be HTC's first smartphone to flaunt a bezel-less design, which is now a trend among smartphones, even on budget devices.

The HTC U11 Plus will reportedly feature 5.99-inch QHD+ display from JDI, and have a aspect ratio of 18:9. It will come with Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform, 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB UFS 2.1 internal storage.

It will still have a single camera sporting a 12MP sensor and on the front a 8MP unit for selfies. Again the 3.5mm audio jack is getting a miss. Other features include IP68 water and dust resistance, Quick Charge 3.0 and touch sensitive frame for Edge Sense function.

The HTC U11 Plus will reportedly be unveiled at an event in China on November 11. The Taiwanese company is also expected to introduce an Android One device called U11 Life at the event as well. Lastly, HTC is said to price its upcoming phones competitively, but there's no word regarding the exact price.
