Huawei Mate 10 range specs leaked: bezel-less design, f/1.6 aperture camera, IP68 rating, Android 8.0 Oreo
Huawei has already confirmed that its next flagship Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro will be unveiled at an event in Germany on October 16. It also revealed that the flagships will have a bezel-less design and utilize in-house built octa-core Kirin 970 chip that is mated with a dedicated AI chip (Neural Processing Unit) and the new Mali G72 GPU.
Now Evan Blass writing for VentureBeat has revealed details about Huawei's upcoming devices. According to the report the Mate 10 is codenamed 'Alps' and Mate 10 Pro is codenamed 'Blanc', and there is a third Mate 10 model called codenamed 'Marcel' which is likely to be Mate 10 Lite. Blass also shared specifications of the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro.
Speaking of the Mate 10 Pro (Blanc), it is said to sport a bezel-less design, and a IP68 water and dust resistance body that's 7.5mm thick. It will feature 5.99-inch QHD+ IPS LCD display, 6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage and 4000mAh battery. Just like Mate 9, the Mate 10 Pro's dual-camera system will be co-deveoped with Leica, and consist of 12MP + 20MP sensor with f/1.6 apeture and optical image stabilization. The front facing selfie camera is an 8MP shooter. As for the the software it will run the latest EMUI 6.0 based Android 8.0 Oreo.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is expected to hit the market in December.
The Huawei Mate 10 (Alps) on the other hand will have the same processor, cameras and battery as the Mate 10 Pro, but will feature a smaller 5.88-inch QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) IPS LCD display with 16:9 aspect ratio and 4GB RAM. It will be slightly thicker as well at 8.23mm. It is expected to ship in October. Unfortunately details about Mate 10 'Marcel' is not known.
