Samsung Galaxy Note8 India launch set for September 12

Samsung is wasting no time to bring its latest flagship the Galaxy Note8 to India. The South Korean tech giant has scheduled an event on September 12, the same day Apple is hosting its iPhone event in the U.S, to launch the Galaxy Note 8 in the country.

The Galaxy Note8 launch event will happen in New Delhi, and will also be live-streamed at new.samsung.com/in/ at 12:30pm.

To recap the specs, the Galaxy Note8 is Samsung's first smartphone to boast dual-cameras at the back, consisting 12MP f/1.7 sensor  with wide-angle lens + 12MP f/2.4 sensor with telephoto lens with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) for both. The Indian version of Galaxy Note8 will come with Exynos 8895 processor along with 3300mAh battery, 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB storage options.

It features 6.3-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display with 18:9 aspect ratio, comes with feature like fingerprint scanner, Iris scanner, dedicated Bixby Pen, S Pen, 8MP front camera, IP68 water and dust resistance, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC. It runs Android Nougat out-of-the box.

The Galaxy Note8 is rumored to have a starting price of Rs. 70,000. However, we will get to know the official pricing and availability details next week.
