Samsung Galaxy Note8 lands in India for Rs. 67,990
Samsung last month announced it highly anticipated flagship the Galaxy Note8 at an event in New York. Now the South Korean tech giant has launched the Galaxy Note8 in India.
The Galaxy Note8 has been priced at Rs. 67,990, and will be up for pre-order starting today in Midnight Black and Maple Gold colors. Shipping will start September 21. It will also be available from Amazon India, Samsung eStore as well as offline stores.
As part of launch offer, buyers will get one-time screen replacement and a wireless charger for free. Those making purchase via HDFC credit card will get Rs. 4,000 cashback. Reliance Jio users will get up to 448GB of extra 4G data. Samsung has also introduced Upgrade program, which allow you to trade in your old Galaxy Note phablet with the Galaxy Note8.

The Galaxy Note8 is the company's first smartphone to get dual-cameras. It has a pair of 12MP camera, with the main sensor housing f/1.7 aperture, dual-pixel auto-focus, and the other has f/2.4 aperture and telephoto-lens offering 2x optical zoom. Both camera have optical image stabilization. The rear camera app offers two modes for advanced photography: Live Focus and Dual Capture. Live Focus feature lets you control the depth of field by allowing you to adjust the bokeh effect in preview mode and after you take the photo. In Dual Capture mode, both rear cameras take two pictures simultaneously and allow you to save both images; one close-up shot from the telephoto lens and one wide-angle shot that shows the entire background. The selfie shooter at the front is an 8MP f/1.7 sensor.
The Galaxy Note8 flaunts a 6.3-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display, bearing a resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels, and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform and comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The storage is also expandable via microSD card. It runs Android 7.1.1 out of the box.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, MST and USB Type-C 3.1. It is fueled by 3000mAh battery, and supports both wired and wireless charging. Other features include dedicated Bixby button, IP68 water and dust resistance, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, Iris scanner and heart rate monitor.
The S Pen stylus is getting an upgrade with finer tip and improved pressure sensitivity. It now lets you share animated text or drawing across platform that support animated GIF. The Translate feature has also been improved, and now lets you quickly translate entire sentences in up to 71 languages, and instantly convert units and foreign currencies.
