Samsung Galaxy Tab A2 S surface in press render
Samsung is expected to launch a new tablet called Galaxy Tab A2 S soon. Previously the tablet was spotted in benchmarks, TENAA, FCC and WiFi Alliance. And now press shots of the tablet has hit the interweb, courtesy of Roland Quandt.
Quandt also shared some information on the specs of the tablet as well. The Galaxy Tab A2 S will be a budget-friendly tablet, and feature 8-inch WXGA IPS LCD display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. For optics, the tablet is expected to sport 8MP f/1.9 rear camera and 5MP f/2/0 front camera. It will run Android Nougat out of the box, and packs 5000mAh battery.
It will be available in two variants: LTE (SM-T385) and WiFi (SM-T380) and have a special software aimed at children. For charging and data transferring, the tablet will have a USB Type-C port. The tablet will have a thickness of 8.9mm and weigh 364g.
As for the pricing, The Galaxy Tab A2 S is said to carry a price tag of 200 Euros (Rs. 15,000) for the WiFi model, and LTE model around 300 Euros (Rs. 23,000). It is unknown, when Samsung plans to unveil the tablet.
