Xiaomi Releases MIUI 9 Beta For Various Third Batch Devices

Xiaomi has released the MIUI 9 beta builds for various devices listed in the third batch. A couple of devices - Redmi 2 Prime, Mi 3, Redmi Note Prime, Redmi 3 Prime, Redmi 3S Prime, Redmi 4A - have been left out for now. The company has stated that the beta builds for these devices will be released "soon." This week's MIUI 9 beta 7.9.7 is also available for the first and second batch of devices which have already received their first beta builds.

This weekly beta build of MIUI 9 includes a couple of new animations, bug fixes and optimisations. Additionally, the September security patches are included. The complete changelog can be found below.

Fix - Messages with one-time passwords disappeared (09-07)

New - Animated icons for selected apps in the default theme (09-01)

Fix - Android security patch level was shown with the wrong date (09-07)

Downloads

New - Downloads keep waiting when the connection is established again in case it was interrupted (09-05)

Optimization - Simplified and improved the design of the virus scan result page (09-07)

The download links of the ROM can be found in the source linked below. You can either install the ROM via ADB or using a custom recovery. Please proceed with the installation only if the bootloader of your device is unlocked officially. Detailed instructions for installing the ROM can be found here.
