Honor 7X with FullView display, dual-cameras announced
Huawei sub-brand Honor has officially announced the launch of the Honor 7X, its second near bezel free smartphone after Honor 9i. It sports metal unibody design, with rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and also comes with dual-cameras, just like its predecessor, Honor 6X.
The Honor 7X features 5.93-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) FullView display with 18:9 aspect ratio and is powered by 2.36GHz octa-core Kirin 659 processor backed by Mali-T830 GPU. It has 4GB RAM, and comes with storage options of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. There's also support for microSD card for storage expansion.
For photography, it gets 16MP and 2MP dual-cameras at the back, with the secondary camera calculating the depth of an image to provide bokeh effect. The selfie camera at the front is an 8MP unit. In terms of connectivity there's hybrid dual-SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It runs Android Nougat based EMUI 5.1 and is fueled by 3340mAh battery.
The Honor 7X 32GB model has been priced at CNY 1299 ($128 | Rs. 13,000), 64GB model at 1699 ($258 | Rs. 17,000) and the 128GB model will cost CNY 1999 ($304 | Rs. 20,000). It is now up for pre-order in China, and go on sale starting October 17 in Gold, Aurora Blue and Black color.
